Hello tSports fans and welcome back to the blog!!
Events will be starting again soon in earnest and we will be bringing you top table Warhammer action from events around the world . Before that though we are planning the next iteration of the Super Series. We had an amazing chat with Tony Moore and Tom Mawdsley from the Marauders team about mixing up the format. An interesting set of ideas came from the discussion and so we’ve decided to create a showcase match to try some of the ideas and of course try our overlays and commentary for the new addition.
We have 2 fantastic teams ready for this matchup. Making a return are the amazing Dragon Slayers who played some quality games in Super Series Genesis and the South London Legion, one of Londons largest wargaming teams.
So in the this 6 vs 6 match the format will go like this
Bans
Each team will still have 5 bans for a total of 10 following the ban system used at Super Series Genesis. The bans, which we will see cast live on Monday 9th August 6.30pm BST twitch.tv/tsportsnetwork with Dragon Slayers having the first ban.
Pairings
The pairings will work differently due to there being more more armies available for the matchups but we will of course be streaming the match up process but with a twist. Two of the of the pairings will paired into “blind tables” which wont be streamed for some added intrigue to the matchup!
Rounds
Each of the teams will go through the pairing process 3 times and play 3 rounds.
Scoring
We will be using the 2 point differential system that you can find on thehonestwargamer.com
Live Coverage
We will be covering 4 of the 6 games each round over each round and it will all be live on twitch.tv/tsportsnetwork Saturday August 14th 2021
Its looking to be a very very exciting matchup and we are very interested to have a mixup of the format and see what you tSports fans think.
